Condor compensation guide
The airline name alone does not determine your rights. Route, operating carrier and disruption details matter.
Quick answer
Could your flight qualify?
You may be entitled to compensation for an eligible Condor delay, cancellation, involuntary denied boarding or disrupted connection. EC261 covers many Condor journeys, while UK261, Canada's APPR or Türkiye's SHY-YOLCU may also apply depending on your route.

Passenger rights
Which passenger rights could apply?
Condor is a German European Union airline with an extensive European and long-haul network. EC261 is therefore especially important, while Condor's current services involving the United Kingdom, Canada and Türkiye can bring additional passenger-rights frameworks into scope.
European Union
EC261
€250–€600 in qualifying cases
EC261 is central to Condor journeys. As an EU carrier, qualifying Condor flights departing from EU airports and qualifying Condor-operated arrivals into the EU from outside the EU can fall within EC261.

UK261
£220–£520 in qualifying cases
Condor currently operates services involving the United Kingdom, including London Gatwick. Qualifying journeys can fall under UK261 depending on route, direction of travel and the operating carrier.

APPR
Compensation can apply in qualifying cases
Condor operates flights involving Canada, including Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver. Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations can therefore apply to qualifying Condor journeys to or from Canada.

SHY-YOLCU
TRY equivalent of €100–€600
Condor serves Türkiye, including Antalya. A qualifying Condor-operated departure from Türkiye can fall under SHY-YOLCU because Condor is a foreign carrier.

CAAT 101
THB 1,500–4,500 in qualifying cases
Thailand's CAAT Regulation No. 101 can apply to qualifying scheduled Condor departures from Thailand. The disruption type, delay length, flight distance and other regulatory conditions determine the available rights.

Mexico LAC
Ticket-price percentages and statutory remedies in qualifying cases
Condor operates passenger services involving Mexico. On qualifying services governed by Mexico's Civil Aviation Law, airline-attributable delays, cancellations and overbooking can trigger statutory assistance, refund or alternative-travel remedies and percentage-based compensation.

What happened to your Condor flight?
Delayed flight
A significant arrival delay may qualify depending on the route, applicable passenger-rights rules and cause of the disruption.
Cancelled flight
Cancellation rights can depend on notice timing, the reason for cancellation and any alternative journey offered.
Denied boarding
Involuntary denied boarding can create compensation, alternative travel, refund and care rights in qualifying circumstances.
Missed connection
A connecting journey booked as one itinerary may qualify when a disruption causes you to reach your final destination significantly late.
Important conditions
What can affect your eligibility?
Condor is an EU airline, but the airline name alone does not determine your rights. Route, direction of travel, operating carrier, disruption type, cause and final arrival impact all need to be considered.
EC261 is central to Condor journeys
Because Condor is a German EU carrier, European passenger-rights protections can cover a wide range of both European and qualifying international Condor journeys.
Three-hour final arrival delay can matter
Under EC261, reaching your final destination three or more hours late can create a compensation entitlement in a qualifying case.
Cancellation timing matters
Compensation can depend on how much notice Condor gave you, the cause of the cancellation and the timing of the alternative journey offered.
Different routes can bring different rules
Condor operates beyond the European Union. Journeys involving the United Kingdom, Canada or Türkiye can bring UK261, APPR or SHY-YOLCU into the assessment.
The operating carrier matters
Some itineraries can include partner-operated flights. Passenger-rights analysis should use the airline that actually operated the affected flight rather than relying only on the airline shown on the booking.
Extraordinary circumstances can remove fixed compensation
Events genuinely outside the airline's control can remove entitlement to fixed compensation, although care, rerouting or refund obligations may still remain.
Thailand departures can fall under CAAT 101
Qualifying scheduled Condor departures from Thailand can be assessed under Thailand's CAAT Regulation No. 101. Delay length, disruption type, distance and other regulatory conditions still need to be checked.
Mexico's Civil Aviation Law can apply on qualifying Mexico services
Condor services involving Mexico can also need to be assessed under Mexico's Civil Aviation Law, including the airline's registered compensation policy for attributable delays and the statutory remedies that apply after serious delays, cancellations or overbooking.
What to keep
Keep a clear record of the journey
Keep enough evidence to show your itinerary, disruption, operating flight and the effect the disruption had on your final journey.
Condor booking confirmation showing your flight number, route and travel date.
Boarding pass or other evidence that you checked in and were ready to travel.
Emails, SMS messages or app notifications about the disruption.
Replacement-flight or rerouting details if your itinerary changed.
Evidence of your actual final arrival time where available.
Any explanation Condor provided for the delay, cancellation or denied boarding.
Receipts for reasonable meals, accommodation or local transport caused by the disruption.
Details of the operating carrier if another airline operated any part of your itinerary.
