Flair Airlines compensation guide
The airline name alone does not determine your rights. Route, operating carrier and disruption details matter.
Quick answer
Could your flight qualify?
You may be entitled to compensation for an eligible Flair delay, cancellation, involuntary denied boarding or disrupted connection. Flair-operated flights to, from or within Canada can fall under the APPR, with entitlement depending on the cause of the disruption, final arrival delay and other regulatory conditions.

Passenger rights
Which passenger rights could apply?
Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations are the principal passenger-rights framework Travaro supports for Flair-operated journeys. Because Flair's current scheduled network is centred on flights within, to or from Canada, qualifying domestic and international Flair journeys can fall under the APPR.
Canada
APPR
Delay/cancellation: CAD 400–1,000 · Denied boarding: CAD 900–2,400
Flair-operated flights to, from or within Canada can fall under the APPR. Flair is currently classified as a large airline, so the large-carrier compensation tiers apply where the other APPR conditions are met.

Ticket-price percentages and statutory remedies in qualifying cases
Flair Airlines operates passenger services involving Mexico. On qualifying services governed by Mexico's Civil Aviation Law, airline-attributable delays, cancellations and overbooking can trigger statutory assistance, refund or alternative-travel remedies and percentage-based compensation.

What happened to your Flair Airlines flight?
Delayed flight
A significant arrival delay may qualify depending on the route, applicable passenger-rights rules and cause of the disruption.
Cancelled flight
Cancellation rights can depend on notice timing, the reason for cancellation and any alternative journey offered.
Denied boarding
Involuntary denied boarding can create compensation, alternative travel, refund and care rights in qualifying circumstances.
Missed connection
A connecting journey booked as one itinerary may qualify when a disruption causes you to reach your final destination significantly late.
Important conditions
What can affect your eligibility?
The Flair name alone does not create an entitlement. Travaro checks the cause of the disruption, your complete itinerary, final arrival delay and the other APPR conditions before determining whether compensation may apply.
The cause of the disruption matters
For APPR delay and cancellation compensation, the disruption generally needs to be within the airline's control and not required for safety. Disruptions outside the airline's control are treated differently.
Final arrival delay determines the compensation tier
For qualifying APPR delay and cancellation claims, compensation depends on how late you reach the final destination shown on your original itinerary.
Flair is treated as a large airline
The Canadian Transportation Agency currently classifies Flair as a large airline under the APPR, so the large-carrier compensation and rebooking rules apply where their other conditions are satisfied.
International Flair flights can still fall under APPR
Canada's passenger-rights regulations can apply to qualifying flights departing from or arriving in Canada, so Flair flights to destinations outside Canada are not automatically excluded.
Safety-related disruptions are treated differently
A disruption can be within an airline's control but required for safety. Those situations do not normally create the same fixed inconvenience compensation as disruptions that are within the airline's control and not required for safety.
Connections should be assessed as a complete journey
Where flights form one protected connecting itinerary, an earlier disruption can matter when it causes a significant delay at the final destination.
Mexico's Civil Aviation Law can apply on qualifying Mexico services
Flair Airlines services involving Mexico can also need to be assessed under Mexico's Civil Aviation Law, including the airline's registered compensation policy for attributable delays and the statutory remedies that apply after serious delays, cancellations or overbooking.
