Nok Air compensation guide
The airline name alone does not determine your rights. Route, operating carrier and disruption details matter.
Quick answer
Could your flight qualify?
Compensation or other passenger rights may be available after a qualifying Nok Air disruption. The potentially relevant frameworks are CAAT 101, India DGCA. A disruption alone is not proof of an award; the operating flight, applicable rules, travel direction and cause all matter.

Passenger rights
Which passenger rights could apply?
Nok Air (DD) primarily flies domestic Thailand routes, including northern, northeastern and southern cities. Its published route map also lists Hyderabad in India. Travaro checks whether the flight was actually DD-operated on the date of disruption.

Compensation can apply in qualifying cases
Thailand CAAT Regulation No. 101 may apply to qualifying scheduled departures from Thailand. Domestic and international flight rights differ; delay length, cancellation circumstances and timing matter.

India DGCA
Fare-based compensation subject to INR limits
India DGCA passenger rights may apply to qualifying flights within, to or from India. Delay often creates care rights rather than an automatic fixed cash claim; cancellation, involuntary denied boarding and certain connections have separate conditions.

What happened to your Nok Air flight?
Delayed flight
A significant arrival delay may qualify depending on the route, applicable passenger-rights rules and cause of the disruption.
Cancelled flight
Cancellation rights can depend on notice timing, the reason for cancellation and any alternative journey offered.
Denied boarding
Involuntary denied boarding can create compensation, alternative travel, refund and care rights in qualifying circumstances.
Missed connection
A connecting journey booked as one itinerary may qualify when a disruption causes you to reach your final destination significantly late.
Important conditions
What can affect your eligibility?
For Nok Air, the flight number, destination list or airline brand alone cannot establish an entitlement. These checks help identify the correct rules for your particular journey.
CAAT 101: check the qualifying flight
Thailand CAAT Regulation No. 101 may apply to qualifying scheduled departures from Thailand. Domestic and international flight rights differ; delay length, cancellation circumstances and timing matter.
India DGCA: check the qualifying flight
India DGCA passenger rights may apply to qualifying flights within, to or from India. Delay often creates care rights rather than an automatic fixed cash claim; cancellation, involuntary denied boarding and certain connections have separate conditions.
Confirm the actual operating airline
Keep the specific DD flight number, airport, travel date and actual disruption notice; a bus, ferry or separate connecting flight should not be treated as Nok Air flight operation.
Check the travel date and operating schedule
CAAT Regulation No. 101 treats domestic and international Thailand flights differently. India DGCA needs a qualifying India sector; a marketed fly-and-ferry journey is not the same as an airline-operated flight segment.
Cause, notice and alternatives matter
Keep the reason given for the disruption, cancellation notice, rerouting and arrival time. An airline name or disruption by itself does not guarantee monetary compensation.
Protected connections need complete details
For one-ticket connections, keep every flight sector and actual final arrival time. Separate tickets or airline-operated and partner-operated segments can lead to different rights.
What to keep
Keep a clear record of the journey
Keep documents that show what happened on the Nok Air-operated journey and how the disruption affected you.
Booking confirmation and the full Nok Air itinerary, including dates and sectors.
DD flight numbers and the actual operating airline for each sector.
Boarding passes or evidence of timely check-in for the affected flight.
Delay, cancellation or denied-boarding notifications and their timestamps.
The airline’s explanation of the disruption and any evidence of the cause.
Scheduled and actual arrival times, including the final destination if connecting.
Details of replacement flights, rebooking, offered care and refund options.
Receipts for meals, hotel or local transport where the relevant rules permit.
