Scoot compensation guide
The airline name alone does not determine your rights. Route, operating carrier and disruption details matter.
Quick answer
Could your flight qualify?
Compensation or other passenger rights may be available after a qualifying Scoot disruption. The potentially relevant frameworks are EC261, CAAT 101, India DGCA, GACA. A disruption alone is not proof of an award; the operating flight, applicable rules, travel direction and cause all matter.

Passenger rights
Which passenger rights could apply?
Scoot (TR) publishes its own services linking Singapore with European airports and routes to Thailand and India. Its direct Singapore–Jeddah flights TR796/TR797 were cancelled through 2 December 2026; a bookable connection or advertised destination does not confirm operation of each leg.
European Union / EEA
EC261
€250–€600 in qualifying cases
EC261-related passenger rights may apply to qualifying departures from covered European airports. Carrier nationality can matter for certain inbound journeys; the route, operating carrier, disruption reason and arrival delay must be checked.

CAAT 101
Compensation can apply in qualifying cases
Thailand CAAT Regulation No. 101 may apply to qualifying scheduled departures from Thailand. Domestic and international flight rights differ; delay length, cancellation circumstances and timing matter.

India DGCA
Fare-based compensation subject to INR limits
India DGCA passenger rights may apply to qualifying flights within, to or from India. Delay often creates care rights rather than an automatic fixed cash claim; cancellation, involuntary denied boarding and certain connections have separate conditions.

GACA
GACA rights on qualifying Saudi departures
Saudi GACA protections may apply to eligible flights departing Saudi airports. Check the actual operating service and disruption facts; an arrival or suspended route does not prove compensation entitlement.

What happened to your Scoot flight?
Delayed flight
A significant arrival delay may qualify depending on the route, applicable passenger-rights rules and cause of the disruption.
Cancelled flight
Cancellation rights can depend on notice timing, the reason for cancellation and any alternative journey offered.
Denied boarding
Involuntary denied boarding can create compensation, alternative travel, refund and care rights in qualifying circumstances.
Missed connection
A connecting journey booked as one itinerary may qualify when a disruption causes you to reach your final destination significantly late.
Important conditions
What can affect your eligibility?
For Scoot, the flight number, destination list or airline brand alone cannot establish an entitlement. These checks help identify the correct rules for your particular journey.
EC261: check the qualifying flight
EC261-related passenger rights may apply to qualifying departures from covered European airports. Carrier nationality can matter for certain inbound journeys; the route, operating carrier, disruption reason and arrival delay must be checked.
CAAT 101: check the qualifying flight
Thailand CAAT Regulation No. 101 may apply to qualifying scheduled departures from Thailand. Domestic and international flight rights differ; delay length, cancellation circumstances and timing matter.
India DGCA: check the qualifying flight
India DGCA passenger rights may apply to qualifying flights within, to or from India. Delay often creates care rights rather than an automatic fixed cash claim; cancellation, involuntary denied boarding and certain connections have separate conditions.
GACA: check the qualifying flight
Saudi GACA protections may apply to eligible flights departing Saudi airports. Check the actual operating service and disruption facts; an arrival or suspended route does not prove compensation entitlement.
Confirm the actual operating airline
A Singapore Airlines booking or codeshare may contain Scoot-operated and other-carrier sectors: identify who physically flew the affected segment.
Check the travel date and operating schedule
Check the actual TR flight and direction on its date of travel. In particular, the Jeddah flight cancellation advisory must not be confused with an active scheduled service or an automatic GACA compensation award.
Cause, notice and alternatives matter
Keep the reason given for the disruption, cancellation notice, rerouting and arrival time. An airline name or disruption by itself does not guarantee monetary compensation.
Protected connections need complete details
For one-ticket connections, keep every flight sector and actual final arrival time. Separate tickets or airline-operated and partner-operated segments can lead to different rights.
What to keep
Keep a clear record of the journey
Keep documents that show what happened on the Scoot-operated journey and how the disruption affected you.
Booking confirmation and the full Scoot itinerary, including dates and sectors.
TR flight numbers and the actual operating airline for each sector.
Boarding passes or evidence of timely check-in for the affected flight.
Delay, cancellation or denied-boarding notifications and their timestamps.
The airline’s explanation of the disruption and any evidence of the cause.
Scheduled and actual arrival times, including the final destination if connecting.
Details of replacement flights, rebooking, offered care and refund options.
Receipts for meals, hotel or local transport where the relevant rules permit.
